Scream!

Talk about crazy! Thieves have stolen Munch's painting The Scream in broad daylight at gunpoint right out of the Munch Museum in Norway. At least we don't have to worry about the same thing happening to Picasso's Guernica. That sucker is HUGE!! 25 feet by 11 feet and took Picasso two months to actually draw, but many more months to set up. I got a chance to actually see the painting in Madrid, and it's overwhelming to say the least.

Stealing artwork isn't exactly a new phenomenom not unexpected. What was crazy was how it was done, by gunpoint. It makes me pine for the Pink Panther days when some ingenuity had to be employed to get the booty. Sad indeed.

Isn't that just wild?!? I heard about that and couldn't believe it.

I agree about Guernica... it was stunning to say the least. Did you get to make it to Picasso's museo en Barcelona? Fenomenal.

Yeah, I went to Picasso's museum there, but it was mostly his very early work or really late work. I had hoped to see more of the stuff in the middle that I was more familiar with.
