a new part time job?
I originally was not going to attend the DMB concert last night. I bought these tickets a few months back at $55 a pop, but I didn't know anyone that liked Dave enough to pony up the $55 for the seat. I drove down to Cricket nee Blockbuster nee Desert Sky Pavilion intent on selling the tickets and heading back home. It took me over an hour to hawk them. In the meantime, I had all these other people asking me if I wanted to buy tickets off of them or if I had seats in other sections. I didn't buy any other tickets because all I wanted to do was get rid of the ones that I had. What a dope I was!!
The other scalpers were buying and selling like hotcakes and each walked away with hundreds of dollars in profit on a day in which they said it was hard to move the tickets. It'd be nice to pick up a few hundred bucks for a few hours work, eh? I did end up selling my tickets for $110, which in retrospect, I coulda gotten more for them, but oh well. That was my virgin sale. At that point, I decided I actually did want to get in the concert, so I ended up buying another $55 seat, but for only $40. As I was trying to get a hold of my friends inside, someone asked me if they could buy the ticket from me. I told him $50 and he bought it. I then picked up a lawn ticket that had a face value of $40 for only $25 and went in to see the show. I'm absolutely kicking myself for not doing a little more fast dealing before the show. I could have basically seen the show for free and gotten a few beers out of the exchange as well. (For $8 a beer, Cricket can blow me.)

How was it?
The show was pretty good I thought. I heard some grumbling from people that have been to many shows that it wasn't that good, but no complaints from me.
No blogging from you.... where you be Dear? I am in P town, but don't kill me... I leave Thurs morning. Everything has been a whirlwind. I am at ASU using their comps and they all run on Linux in the ASU library. Hot damn. And the fact that I recognized this... I amaze myself ;)
