Steak and BJ Day?

I had heard about this new, terrific holiday last week, but I let it slip by without having partaken in either. I had meat loaf for dinner, so if I go pet the one-eyed monster before heading off to bed, I'll have had a second rate holiday at least.

Happy National Trivia Day!

Jan 4th (today) is National Trivia Day, how's that for a bit of trivia?? I only know this because of a chanukah gift that a good friend gave me. Here is a list of the top 10 trivial events of 2004 according to Hasbro, makers of Trivial Pursuit. The origin of the word comes from latin, tri meaning three and via meaning way. "Huh?" you might say. Apparently, the Romans had these three-way intersections where people would gather and shoot the shit, thus spawning the word trivia. Now go back to surfing for porn.

new pillow for men

One of my first posts was about the boyfriend pillow that women were snapping up. I'm not sure if the same company is responsible for the new lap pillow, but I'm betting that it is. Man, who needs women now that these pillows are out? ;)

WOW, Natalie Portman

I've been watching Inside the Actor's Studio on Bravo quite a bit lately... I finally got a chance to watch the Natalie Portman interview from last week yesterday. I think I am officially in love. She was born in Israel, can speak Hebrew and can curse like an Arab. Not to mention that she is absolutely gorgeous. I want to join her fan club immediately!

Kerry is such a little puta

I read Unfit for Command this weekend... I didn't realize what a snivelling little asswipe John Kerry is. The guy only served three months in Viet Nam and came away with three purple hearts, a bronze star and a silver star? Doesn't that sound ludicrous to anyone other than himself? Also the fact if he was such a great war hero, why would only one out of 20 people from his boats support his presidential candidacy? www.wintersoldier.com for more details. Screw that hippie, I wasted too much time on him as it is.

Two good flicks

I just watched The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Super Size Me. Two very interesting movies in their own rights. The really cool part about Eternal Sunshine is that all the special effects were done with the camera and lighting, there was no CG. Super Size Me was just scary. Check out the bonus materials and watch the food decompose (or not) in air-tight containers over the course of three months.

Four More Years

This last election was much closer than I thought it would or even should be, even though I think it was a pretty clear victory at 289 to 252 and over 3.5 million popular votes. At least I don't have to hear whining about how Bush didn't win the popular vote this time around. It's a little conceited anyway to have 20 states be able to dictate who the president will be because of population. I think it's great that Republicans picked up more seats in both sides of congress as well as having Daschle ousted. I like what one pundit said.... "It's insulting that the Democrats actually thought they would be able to win an election with either Gore or Kerry as their candidate." These two guys have got to be two of the most boring candidates I have ever seen. Well, Mondale and Dukakis were pretty bad too. I'm just scared that Clinton will be able to run for re-election in 2008.

I had some fun while waiting in line to vote. I acted like I was stoned whenever I spoke to anyone. I can only wonder what all those people I spoke to were thinking. Living in America is grand, ain't it? ;)
